goldfinches.. THOUSANDS OF THEM!!
As a keen young ornithologist, y.o.c member 1991-1994 ish, in my younger years i was always looking out for various birds too cross of my hit list.. the goldfinch seemingly eluded me completely, despite being a relatively common finch. catching a glimpse of this holy grail of finches became a personal obsession. well about as obsessed about such a thing as a young boy can become.
the years, devoid of goldfinch passed and my interest faded.
this weekend i came across a tree full of them. a flock of goldfinch.
